Chris Broussard reports CP3 wants out- Lakers not in contention

According to Chris Broussard, Paul wants to go to the Knicks, Magic, Mavs or Blazers.

Nothing about Charlotte. The Lakers are NOT in the mix. Blazers are his most likely destination.

So it really seems like the Bobcats are out at this point, despite our naive optimism. ESPN first take also thinks Blazers are most likely destination, Knicks (of those four) are least likely.

They can, HOWEVER, send Chris Paul to the highest bidder as Paul doesn't have a no trade clause.

The piece about Charlotte being out is strictly specualtion by the OP. Its all going to come down to what New Orleans wants in return. If its all about cap space and financial flexibility, then we've got a decent shot.

I still put Charlotte ahead of all of those teams whether they mentioned us or not. The guy put Dallas in that list. I think he might be a little late on that one considering the trade we just made with them. I guess the media forgot we have one of the most desirable trade pieces in Dampier.

How can the Bobcats be "OUT" when Paul does not decide where he goes?

When he becomes a "FREE AGENT" where he wants to go might mean more than his flushed sh_t.

Until then, who cares about where "HE WANTS TO GO" other than the BIG MARKET-OBSESSED media who just wants any excuse to mention the names of the largest markets?

This is because no team is going to give the kitchen sink for a player unless they want to be there and sign a long-term contract.

Tell me something I didn't know before I posted what I did.

Paul goes where he is sent. If the team he goes to CONTENDS, which the Bobcats would, odds are he's going to re-sign with that team...DUH.

calm down damn

I personally think that theres more things going on behind closed doors, and that ESPN is a couple steps behind.

When people stop believing that the words they see on a page are all that a person knows, as if you have to spell out every thought process for them to GET IT, then maybe.

I would agree that more is ALWAYS going on behind closed doors than "ESPN" knows. The media is in fact TRYING TO ensure that he ends up in New York or Orlando (or LA if that was possible).

That's what they WANT.

That's why I have the tone I do.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
