8/4 & 8/5 Training Camp Observations

Does Moore seem to have better chemistry with some receivers more than others? Some have reported that the "Moore2Moore" connection looks good and someone else reported he likes throwing to LaFell. I was wondering if he favors someone more than others? Is he hitting all the tight ends or does he have a favorite?

Thanks to all who report from camp...it is much appreciated!!!

From what I saw, there was a lot of Moore to LaFell connections.

I don't know how to post images, but there is one on Charlotte Observer of Moore giving LaFell a fist pump after a TD reception. It was a good pass and catch.

Moore to Moore though was also evident. But he seemed to favor LaFell on Thursday.

I did see what others report as Clausen checking down to closer WRs and did see a few good dumps by the QBs to RBs out of the backfield as well.

All the TEs were being worked with different groups. Rosario had some good catches but I remember Barnidge getting more of the deeper passes it seemed yesterday. I want to say he caught a good deep one. King as mentioned, caught a crazy one hander in the end zone that had the whole place cheering.

good info here. i'm really stoked to see these guys in action now. especially Lafell and K. Moore. K. Moore knows how to block too though, don't forget about that one play where Smith was about to take it to the house on the Vikings last season and Moore got all the way down field to help Smitty out with a nice block on a corner or safety (not sure which). if I were Fox though, I'd go with the bigger guy anyway, cause a linebacker or defensive lineman could probably lay Kenny Moore out. it's good to hear that K. Moore is finally stepping up to the plate... and perhaps Smith sees K. Moore surpassing him in the near future as the new number one???

Let's see if Moore can be a legitimate #3 WR before we talk about him being a #1.

I would say that the establishment of chemistry with WRs not named Smith is wonderful, and it is not equal. The players that Moore needs to succeed will rise above the others. If they let him down, chemistry is lost. If they make him great, chemistry is enhanced.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
