Pennsylvania Super Bowl

How did you end up being a Panther fan? Did you just recently move to PA?

Grew up in the Philly burbs...never liked the Iggles (or Phils). Only Philly team I've ever liked has been (and still is) the Flyers. I grew up liking the Dolphins and was a Dolphin fan until they ran Shula out of town and hired the scumbag, Jimmy Johnson. I picked a new team to follow. Narrowed it down to GB and the Panthers. GB either just won the SB or was about to. Didn't want to be called a bandwagon jumper so I went with the new franchise Panthers.

i dont know. a rookie QB in the super bowl?

i might be inclined to take my chances.

He is no rookie...he is the immortal Joe Flacco from the great school of Delaware....fear him.

I don't put much stock into that....they have been saying all along a rookie QB can't win in the playoffs. He is not being asked to win the games, just not lose them. Harbaugh knows what he is doing and would do everything not to put him in that postition. I fear how many points their defense could score against us, not Joe Flacco. Both Pitts and Balt would be tough but since we played them both once this year I like the outcome of the Pitts game much better. Have to get passed Arizona first though.....

    • It’s going to get wild after this Sunday.  I would assume Dave has a really smart plan.   Sorta like the AZ plan last year.    After a big turnover heavy  bad game Bryce normally reels it in.  Bryce will have one of his standard 60% for 200 days and the Bryce defenders will use that as a “ I told you he is good” games.
    • Bryce is a really smart kid and I'm sure he knows all the answers to the test but he hasn't been able to overcome his lack of physical tools and other DC's know this and play him accordingly. I think Bryce has good processing but when the correct read is the WR 30 to 40 yards down field and you have a defensive lineman coming at you what can he really do? He just doesn't have the arm to effectively and consistently hurt the defense and I think that's what's gonna do him in.  Pime example look at the INT versus Dallas last year when Thelien was wide open down the seam and Bryce threw it from a clean pocket and the ball was way short. Dc's watched that and knew that Bryce can't throw the ball deep.
    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
