great tailgate for preseason.....plenty of chicken sammiches and good turnout. Thanks so much for rhino's boiled peanuts. all the donations, everybody that turned out, etc. thanks to my buddy Scott that cooked the chicken that I surely would have screwed up. Great time seeing everyone again and we'll do it all again next week probably with shish ka bobs. Saw a lot of cornhole but don't know who won, and JR brought some kinda concoction in a vodka bottle but it didn't taste like vodka dunno what it was but would like some more of it. Jakeflake, Rhino, vampi, pstall, skew, Johnny Rockets, alvarez, comxdlr, and several others i'm forgetting.....thanks again for everyone that showed up...

and as an aftethought I suffered a gameday injury...some asshole busted a beer bottle and my sandal ran across it and now I have beer bottle toe. Then ran my hand to pick it up and cut my hand on it. Am laid up now in epson salts and neosporin and a flex bandaid. I'm day to day and would list myself as probable for next week.

    • Doubling tripling and quadrupling down on this subject in defense of the pick is reminiscent of a certain mindset that has overtaken the political world. This conversation will become less contentious and dragged out to the point of becoming a dead beaten horse if rational minds can simply agree that we made a mistake missed on a potential franchise center and we will learn from it. All this coping is unnecessary.
    • Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle. Also, “flashed his talent” isn’t 9 carries for 22 yards. His one reception for 18 yards isn’t a flash with 11 other touches for 27 yards. He hasn’t proven anything. We have no idea if he’ll contribute in 2026.
    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
