I'm insane

Recommended Posts

For the last three months of 2009, I couldn't find a job to save my life, so I really shouldn't complain, but....I am now working four jobs, not including my job as Huddle Badass.

One is even full time. I guess I'll be making up for the savings I lost over the past 10 months, but damn.

I tried the wait until one good job comes along approach. Kept losing out to someone's relative or friend. So now I am piecing my days together four different ways. And I bet there's some of you on here doing the same thing.

I don't know. Starting next week, I'll be working about 60 hours a week.

thats an easy week for me. I sell cars, so they require me to damn near live at the dealership..I was in management for a while until I decided it wasn't worth the stress, so now I make roughly the same money, just have a ton of free time. When I don't have a customer I literally have nothing to do, can get quite boring sometimes...

Most of the cool poo on the net is blocked, so I'm stuck on the Huddle all day waiting for you guys to post something interesting

Thought about trying that. There are like three dealerships within two miles of my house. Just afraid of doing sales. I'm not a natural bullschitter. And I don't mean that as an insult. It's a gift I don't have.

Its impossible to budget yourself and until you establish yourself as elite in the field you'll be treated like dogpoo at most dealerships. I am very gifted at it and never have the need to b.s anyone but I consider it like a gift and a curse.

It's a gift cuz sales come easy to me, but at the same time I hate sacrificing my youth up in this bitch 24/7. Also alot of us who have early success at it think were always gonna make good money every month, so we accumulate alot of debt thinking its no prob to pay back. So my required income just to pay all my bills every month is insane and now I just work my ass off and have nice things but have very little free time or disposable income

It's funny I was just watching a movie called Lifeguard, where Sam Elliott plays a lifeguard given a job selling Porsches, and the sales manager gives him all kinds of hell when he comes in for his "interview".

this industry is in a world of its own. If I have kids I will never let them do this for a living.

I've been in sales for 10 years now. I love when new sales people come in all eager. They buy into the "sky is the limit" and think it will be awesome. I think its like 70% of people who get in to sales aren't still doing it 2 years later.

    • Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
