Fair competition???

At the same time though Edwards has never really trained to be a WR before. I'm sure his work outs are now fine tuned to him getting a bit quicker and a bit faster. Plus he's never been in the kind of shape a WR has to be in, he's admitted that. So at the same token he probably hasn't reached his athletic peak yet. He may get faster than we are used to seeing him. I think the potential is there to be a speed demon.

I am hoping Edwards does not try any returns tonight until after our starters have sat down for the night.

if he muffs a coulple of return it will naturally take confidence from the starters by putting them in an undeserving disadvantage.

Edwards has a year to watch, learn and develop, just not in the 3rd preseason game but perhaps in the 4th and last one would be ok.

I could see giving reps to Captain for Q1 and maybe Q2 tonight. Giving up on Edwards already, however, is very short sighted.

I for one am not giving up on him...hell I haven't given up on jarrett yet. I just think we should realize that he is a year or two away. Throwing him to the wolves might damage his confidence forever.
