Where would you rather live--Greensboro or Charlotte?

Nothing wrong with Greensboro. If you plan on staying in the same place for some time I would say Greensboro but if you don't plan on living there permanently then Charlotte.

Of course, you should live "just" outside of Greensboro if you decide on Greensboro; no need to live in the inner-city.

i've lived in grensboro, charlotte and boone. i've visited wilmington extensively but have no idea of the job market. to me it seems like greensboro with a beach. charlotte is nice but i would never live there again. after a year there i have exactly two fond memories of the place and only one has anything to do with charlotte being a good place to live. for my money i'll take boone any day of the week but if you're actually going to try to work for a living it's probably not your best bet unless you're going to teach or do some kind of construction work. greensboro is where i'm from and i'll always love it to some extent but unless i was young and wanting to party then i would never live in greensboro proper. southern rockingham county is very nice while still being close enough to greensboro proper that you don't have to actually deal with as much craziness.

I do it as much as anyone (the fact that it would take a million dollar/year salary to get me to live in W-S) but the all out hate between G'boro and W-S is actually kind of funny.

I think of W-S as the used up husk of a town that was left when the tobacco empires fell. The only thing left is the very rich and the very poor. What middle class there is left is trying to make W-S viable but its a losing battle.

The only thing in W-S that worth going there for is Foothills brewery and Toms Guitars.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...

Don't know about Tom's, but I hate foothills. Awful food, poor service, and over crowded. Johnny and Junes is much more fun.

Regarding Greensboro or Charlotte, really there isn't much difference between the two. Charlotte is a little bit larger with more places to get drunk, Greensboro is cheaper with fewer places to get drunk. But sometimes quality is more important than quantity.

    • My friend, pretty much stayed at his level for the next 30 years. But he is own boss and happy I guess. Not a bad guy personally.  That is probably Tepper.
    • Banking your hopes on a couch FA that has a cup of tea NFL career to date as an almost 31 year old QB is certainly something. Especially when you consider that he has spent literally zero time in our offense so far. I think that White might be solid competition and possibly be better than Hendon Hooker, which is certainly a very low bar to clear.  That's probably about where the level is for White. He's a potential upgrade to our PS QB.
    • I need to look more into how pass block win rate is calculated. Like, if the other team gets a coverage sack because nobody is open and the guy I am blocking gets free to pressure/sack the QB after 5 seconds, is that considered a pass block "loss"? I honestly don't think our pass blocking has been that bad this year (outside of Nijman at LT week 1 and Zavala for 2 out of 3 games). For the most part, teams aren't getting by with a 4 man rush and are having to blitz. Looks like teamrankings says we are 10th in sacks allowed (1.7/game) - and that isn't because we have a QB getting the ball out at an elitely quick rate.
