Ok its over and I have not seen our number 2 yet.We will have a shot this weekend of upgrading our number 2 so we need to cut the stings or place a couple of guys on the PS.I have checked the message boards and the fans in NO are afraid of losing Adrian Arrington who has shined in preseason.Say what you will the fans in Dallas do not want to lose Crayton and Jerry Jones does not want him to end up in the NFL East. What better testiment to his talent is that?I am not g:oing to mention the high dollar guys because it just want happen so lets focus on the real value players.Management cant be that stupid to think this crop will take us to the promise land.Smith,LaFell and Edwards are locked.Gettis has shown talent and I could care less about the others.I saw jarret miss a block last night that may me want to cry.

things will change when the best playmaker in the league comes back, 89. In 08, moose was still not in his old form and he still had close to a thousand yards on a team that didnt pass much at all. if we can find a good slot guy, which im hoping edwards will be later in the seasom, i think we would be able to stretch the fielld nicely.

After going back and re-watching most of the pre-season games, I have come to the conclusion that our issue is not a #2 WR....it is the OLine play. For the most part, they have sucked in every game.

How can you evaluate a young QB and young WR's when the Oline is playing like this.

If they get their act together, our passing game will be no worse than it has been the past few seasons. It will never be the staple of this offense, but it is enough to keep teams honest.

That is all.

Yes its preseason..but thats a sad fact.

I no this is the team and forum of NO,,,,but we really need to get whoyommma. Is this blessing or what??!! We passed on Boldin and we can not pass this oppurtunity up! We need a #2 Get him!! He is High profile, dollar bla bla bla ...STFU sign him !!!!!:mad2:

Bark at me all you want, but if we do not grab him then its obvious we have no interest in competing this year.

We have never had two high profile and high dollar WR's...nothing has changed this year. The passing game is used just enough to take slight pressure off the D and the running game. As long as Fox is here, we will NEVER pay big salaries for multiple WR's. It has nothing to do with being committed to winning or not...it is an offensive philosophy.

Don't get me wrong. I would LOVE to have a #2 the calibre of a Boldin. To me, that is the only weakness we have this year. I have just accepted that it will not happen...and that it has nothing to do with a committment to winning this season.

Smith won't fix everything. When he gets double teamed all day or god forbid injured it's going to be a long season.

Injured yes.....Double Teamed not so much. Smith has been the only true receiving threat on the Panthers for years. This season's passing game will be no worse than the past several years.

    • https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47371200/sources-rams-fire-special-teams-coordinator-chase-blackburn LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Rams have fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move marks the first in-season coaching change that Rams head coach Sean McVay has made in his nine seasons in Los Angeles. Rams assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica will take over and become the lead special teams coach, a source told Schefter. The Rams, 11-4 and second place in the NFC West, lost to the Seahawks on Thursday night in a game that included a Seattle punt return for a touchdown and a missed 48-yard field goal by Los Angeles kicker Harrison Mevis. The Seahawks (12-3) overtook the Rams for first place in the division and the top overall record in the NFC thanks to the 38-37 overtime victory. Though the Rams have lost only four games this season, three have involved special teams miscues. In the Rams' first loss of the season, 33-26 to the Eagles, Los Angeles had its final two offensive possessions end with blocked kicks. In the Rams' Week 10 victory over the Saints, kicker Joshua Karty missed an extra point and a 39-yard field goal attempt. After the game, McVay said the Rams' special teams issues "can't continue like this." Los Angeles replaced long-snapper Alex Ward with Jake McQuaide and Karty with Mevis, who had not missed a kick until Thursday night in Seattle. Blackburn, 42, was in his third season as the Rams' special teams coordinator. A former linebacker for the Giants and Panthers, he also has worked as an assistant with Carolina and Tennessee.
    • It was a bad play from Icky but the OL didn't give up a sack until late in the 4th quarter and Bryce just stood there like he was canatonic. If our 3rd year number one overall pick can't overcome one single sack against a rebuilding Saints team that should only have 2 wins this season then it isn't ever going to happen   This is your quote. I mean I’ve quoted it twice. It was followed by calling people that defended him fugers and several other meltdowns I can also quote.    Shame you for working for a living??? Wow this is a whole new level to your victim mentality thing you like to do. You don’t have to watch games live. Or don’t spend an entire thread arguing about something you didn’t get the full picture of. I miss parts of games all the time. That’s just life. Not even going into the whole losing all respect thing.
    • Rams ended up firing ST coach and former Panthers coach Chase Blackburn after the loss. Sounds all too familiar.
