Available WRs... Ideas/Favorites?

I doubt they pick up a WR, I don't see them cutting Martin unless the player they sign is really good at ST's. I really don't see them Cutting Gettis either. So who would you cut....They really like Gettis, they seem to think Jarrett had an amazing pre season and Martin is now going to be relied on heavily in st coverage units.

Savoir: When it became known to the world that the Cowboys were going to either release or trade him. He went to the Chargers for a 7th round pick. Not exactly expensive.

My point is that we never had the opportunity to sign him. He was drafted by Dallas in '04, extende while still under contract and now traded. Signing him and trading for him are two different things. You might try and hone up on your reading skills but referring to the rules on such things.

Really I consider it a simple signing if all we had to trade away was a 7th round pick.

Oh and by the way, is there some reason you are digressing from my main point besides just being contrary? Crayton was just icing on the cake. Housh would be the cake of my original post.

Then you consider it wrong. Trading also means we accept the terms of his current contract. You're entitled to your opinion on what we need, but Crayton and TJ were/are NOT options. Let it go.

And yet there you go, grouping them together again. Housh was released from the Seahawks. That means new contract time. Best case scenario for a team like us in need of a WR. Crayton is beside the point as he is unavailable.

Stop being dense. There is nothing hard to understand about T.J. Houshmanzadeh improving our group of WRs. And there is the fact that he can be bought fairly cheap right now.

Why do some fans still believe that we will sign a high priced #2 WR? It is just flat not going to happen on this team. We are a run first and defense first team. TJ will deman a big contract. No way that the Panther tie up that much money into two WR's....especially two that are over 31 yo.

Please move along to a relevant discussion.

This depresses the hell out of me reading your responses.

We should look to become the best team we can be. As of right now we lack anything other than Steve Smith as a Wide Receiver. We happen to have an opportunity to sign a player at what will probably be lower than actual worth because of his fallout with another team and yet we don't sign him. Why? Because we are "run first." Well, run first all you want, but eventually you have to pass, and Smitty would be way more relevant if he wasn't triple-covered all of the time, so having someone somewhat relevant opposite of him would be amazingly helpful to our team.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
