We pretty much have the same team we had back in 03-04.

Awesomeness!!

Look at it like this. QB that nobody is really sure about. We can not be stopped running the ball (Stephon Davis, Foster, even Nick Goings....lol...Nick Goings) The WR group was a little better with Ricky P and Moose, but neither one has a light it up kind of guy. The defense was, and still is our best side of the ball. Hardy and Brown on our D-Line will be in QBs faces all year, mark my words. Decent corners, not great, but not terrible, and the linebackers are still awesome....please we still have Kasey!

Keep pounding.

Our secondary is WAYYYYYYY better than 03 or 04. D-line is worse, LB is probably just a tad worse because witherspoon/morgan are better than Beason/Connor. If you throw in fields it gets even more one sided even if Davis comes back.

O-line is better, more well rounded. Run game is much better. WR is far worse. QB is a push for now. 03-04 Jake might be better than Moore if preseason means anything. I think Moore will be better though.

Fields didn't play in 03, much like Davis will not play this year.

Our Dline is no where close to the 03 dline. While this line is smaller and quicker the 03 line just dominated... Rucker, Jenkins, Peppers and co, just man handled other offensive lines. Plus we had an established receiving corps, with polished veterans, not rookies who are out to prove themselves.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
