Obviously it is hard for the Giants. They have allowed an average of 34 pts a game to Carolina since Double Trouble formed.

Oh god. So you're a talking head now? Get your meaningless stats outta here. That was back then when we actually had to worry about a pass attack from you.

Or would you rather talk about in 2008 when scrub Derrick Ward ran for 215 yards against you to seal the #1 NFC spot?

Your one dimensional offense is really hard to game plan for. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys try to pull a Baltimore and try and pass on us. But then again, Matt Moore is no Joe Flacco.

Don't worry about Matt Moore, he'll be just fine.

Sounds like you are still bitter about getting the 5th best Manning family QB. No worries, it's not like you could have had Phillip Rivers or anything like that.

Huh? The past two games you faced Matt Moore and a post Tommy John Jake Delhomme? How was that a worry and in comparison how is there not one now? It is the same QB who beat you in 09 (badly) and he is better than a post Tommy John Jake (which you saw in 08).

I am talking about the 2008 game. Carolina ran wild on you in 2008 and 2009. That is two games in a row. We got the same RBs in there prime rolling into this 3rd matchup........

you had fluke performance by Ward in 08. He ain't on your roster and you did nothing last year. Therefore the Giants have to find something to work....we know what works.

I'm sorry? What was that? Eli's Super Bowl ring is shining in my eyes and I can't read what you're saying.....

Oh. But you don't know what it's like for your team to WIN a Super Bowl. I do. 3 times in fact.

Do you know anything about anything? Clearly, it was due to the fact that our offensive line was the most dominant in the league. And thank god he's not on our roster anymore.

I was trying to get you to explain your nonsense.

You said the Giants previously had to worry about a pass attack and don't now in reference to the prior 2 meetings. Same QB that kicked your tails in 09 and he is better than the 2008 guy you faced. Your statement made no sense.

In regards to Ward, like I said a fluke performance. What did you do in 09?nothing. Carolina knows what works against NY....you are like a wetpaper bag when it comes to our RBs. NYG have to figure something out that works to score pts this time.

The sad part is I was actually rooting for the Giants and Eli in that Superbowl. I don't know why, I never root for anything New York. Not the Yankees, Giants, Jets, nothing. I was actually kinda hoping that thing from Cloverfield would burn the whole fuging city down. Yea, it's safe to say I hate NY and Jersey and everybody therein with a passion.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
