24 hours of Fasting for our Panthers

Myself and a few honorable others have committed to begin fasting at Saturday at 1 until kickoff. I believe this gesture will not only demonstrate our devotion to the Panther Nation but also purify and prepare ourselves for victory. Furthermore, barbecue at gametime will taste extra delicious.

I invite all to join the cause.

P.S. Beer is not included in the fast, obviously.

Well, he isn't eating if he drinks beer. Monks used to drink beer so they could fast for longer.

Fasting as most people do today for religious purposes, the most popular reason for fasting, is not eating or drinking at all. I was comparing it to that. Of course you can do just one, just seems like if you're committing to one you should do the other. To each their own.

How about instead of fasting, which sounds like a crappy way to show how much I care about the Panthers, I will shove my face full of wings and beer during the game tomorrow. Also, I vow to stand and scream at the television every time it doesn't show me what I desire to see.

Very true. However, I am allowing beer because I equate the beverage will glory. Panther Glory. By game time, the only substance in my body will be Panther Glory. About a case of it. I suggest everyone does the same.

Also, I religiously follow the Panthers. The monk analogy is fitting.

Got 5 to 1 odds that xclown doesn't make it to kickoff before he passes out.

That's too god damn easy. That's what Falcons fans do for their team. Do you like being compared to a Falcons fan? I would hate it. We are better. I will sacrifice for my the Panthers. Do what you wish.

    • this is true.  But NFL Ss and defenses are actively taking that away and playing to take them away vs most teams.  The problem thus far in BY's career......is they are cheating and not respecting the deep game which makes the smaller/mid range game harder to pull off.  and Dallas is an anomaly game.  using those random games as well, look at this......doesn't really change the discussion/issues in Carolina.  Bryce Young took the shots this week because they were not just NFL open but college open.    Wide open dudes downfield that really were coverage busts/issues.
    • I will simply counter all that with: you should always strive, at every turn, to avoid indoctrinating young players into a culture of not playing to win the game.  Come man, that is an egghead academic approach that ignores the human element. it looks good on paper. Maybe.  In the voice of the great  Herm Edwards: Hello! You play to win the game.  I completely understand the need but that is not the way….
