cruise help?

Don't skimp. Spend as much as you can afford on the cruise and get the best cruise available. The dropoff between the top tier cruiselines like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, and the lower tiers is pretty substantial. You owe it to yourself to take the best cruise you can afford.

The food is the single most underrated thing about cruising. It's amazing. Diet for a month beforehand because you will gain 10 pounds.

If possible, avoid the cruise sponsored excursions. The best excursion we took was in the Grand Caymans. We didn't book a tour with the cruise but when we got on land we decided we wanted to do one. We ended up hooking up with a local tour group. They didn't have the best equipment, but the guides were much better. We saw the stingrays, like everyone else (there were probably 20 boats there), but then he took us to this remote reef where there were maybe 2 other boats (both privately owned), and took us snorkeling. It was like a tropical aquarium with all the different fish (and a moray eel) and the reef was about 7 feet high in 8 feet of water, so it was like a maze he led us through. Best. Tour. Ever.

Norwegian's staff was awesome too, and don't be afraid to ask if you have questions about anything while you are with them...

Good advice. The crew is a great source of info. They have been to these islands many times. Typically it's best to ask a higher ranking officer or security because I think they get more time off the ship. Anyways we have found some of the best beaches and snorkeling by talking to the crew members.

Most I've ever gained is 2-3 lbs I attribute that to NEVER EVER using the elevator. I use the stairs no matter what. I don't care if we just got back on the boat from port, am worn out and carrying the world with me.

Well when you weigh over 200 pounds, you can gain or lose 5 pounds in a weekend. I've dropped a pant size after a good BM. 10 pounds is about right for me.

Ya if you feel like getting broke faster than zcustom has an orgasm than you should probably spend as much money with the cruise lines with booking tours and packages. Listen to Cap and book everything beforehand or at the island.

That's where they make there money. Drinks, excursions and casino. A couple from our table spent most of their cruise in the casino. By mid week they had spent over 15k.

ya big balla status...I went to the casino at atlantis last week. My habit is to win and then think im going to win some more. Good thing my wife was there to stop me, I'm pretty broke now.

No matter what scenario, the woman will make sure you're broke ;) She stopped you so you wouldn't spend any of the money she wanted.

I hate cruises. Never been on one, ive just seen the people that get off those ships and couldnt imagine being on there with them.

Not to mention their ports of call, which are nothing more than stores of junk trinkets and stupid bars like Carlos and Charlies.

but to each their own
