First off if you cant spell any better than that or format your sentences any better than that, don't start a thread....

Now lets face the facts.... Moore is a backup at best. Yeah i said it. He's been in this organization for what 3 or 4 years now and cant look any better than that on the field? really? I say start the rookie... at least his growing pains would be understandable. and somebody plz get the o line in check. they are horrible. who ever knew Otah made that much of a difference....

Also i would go on record and say if Brady Quinn where drafted by any team other than the browns he would be way better off. It takes coaching to help cultivate talent.

Ok my grammar is bad. Get off it. Because even though it was a bad first thread the point got across. Yeah, one man on the line should make a difference, but it does. I just didn't want them to bench Moore after two games. Give him a shoot. He did great at the end of last season. But he doesn't do well after two games and he's a horrible QB. That's bull. I think that the panthers are two quick to put Clausen in. Oh, Carolina's coaching isn't that great, so whats to say that the same thing that happened to Quinn isn't going to happen to Clausen.

The O-line, receiving core, and defense needs to step up. Smith and Beason can't carry the team on their own. Lets face it, Gamble hasn't really been a factor since the no contact after five yards was implemented.

Its funny how the panthers let Delhomme have mediocre games for the majority of his career at the panthers. Moore, however, comes into the season after have a great 5-1 run last year and does the same as delhome. Which the majority of the reason for the bad performance was the defense now being able to stop freeman from scrambling. Anyway, they put Clausen in and he does the same thing as Moore, but it was acceptable because he played for Wise. How gives a poo about that. If they were gonna replace Moore, which they shouldn't, they should put Pike in. He has much a much better college career than Clausen and he played for a much lower profile team. The panthers need to name looking for a name and start looking for performance. And where was stewart. I like williams but stewart should be the number won. He got the power so the middle runs will open up.

Ummmm - I have no idea what you just said.

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
