If Fox doesn't get resigned,I would not want Cowher like almost everyone on this forum, cause I think Tomlin has proved that anyone can coach Pittsburgh and win.It is the organization with them, not the coach. The only coach available that has turned every franchise around that he has been with is Marty Schottenheimer. He has been productive at every stop except Washington, where he was fired after one season. When the Chargers ran him off he was 14-2 that season. So you can talk about Cowher all you want, but do know Marty is his mentor.Marty made him a coach, and Marty has never had the luxury that Cowher had with the Steelers.Let's play Marty ball if Fox does not get retained, which I think is a mistake!

Trade Foxball for Marty ball? Do you want half of the (loyal) fanbase to commit suicide?

The sad part is, Marty sort of makes sense for this team. I still would want Chucky to stop praising the Panthers on national television and start coaching for them.

Tell me why you think that?

Yeah, I think he'd do wonders with Clausen under his belt. I don't understand why soooo many people are against this idea. Chucky would be awesome for the Panthers. I bet he'd jizz his pants if JR offered him the job because he'd know he's got Steve Smith, DW and J-Stew waiting in the locker room. haha.

Because the most frustrating thing about watching the Panthers on sunday is the fact that their playbook consists of about 5 or 6 plays.

Do you know how many times I've seen a draw play on 3rd and long? :puke:

The reason is,since they have 6 DB's back there waiting,it works over half the time.

Say what you want, but the dude coached for 21 years and here are his ending numbers:

Games over .500: 74

Super Bowl Wins: 0

Overall Championships: 0

Conference Championships: 0

Division Championships: 8

0 Super Bowl Wins, 0 Overall Championships, and 0 Conference Championships. He never even attended the Super Bowl during his 21 years. I don't want a guy who can make us 12-4 every year and then flop in the playoffs. I would rather be 9-7 and win the whole thing. Cowher has:

Games over .500: 59

Super Bowl Wins: 1

Overall Championships: 1

Conference Championships: 2

Division Championships: 9

Cowher would also only have to average a little more than 9 wins a season to pass Marty in games over .500. He is the better coach. Tomlin won with what Cowher helped build. Just like Gruden won with another coaches players.

How many guys coach as a head coach for over 20 years and never not once make the Super Bowl? Marty also just had his happy 67th birthday. How many years will he coach?

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
