You like Charlotte, you like your teammates...

you like some of the coaches, you the like fans, you like the stadium, etc.

Your contract is up at the end of the season.

Do you re-sign? Will big money keep you here, or do you want to go where you know you can win? It happens all the time.

I know Beason's contract is not up, but in an interview today about the team's play he said, "same old song and dance."

Pep left. Why WOULD anyone want to stay here? You can get brotherhood with your next team pretty quick I imagine.

Just a thinking out loud question. JR is playing with fire.

That's my biggest fear. Losing guys like Beason, D-Will, Stewart, Smith, etc. because we're more concerned with a lockout that probably won't happen (come on, these things happen in every sport every now and then, and they are always able to work something out in the last minute...).

JR needs to be careful. Do SOMETHING positive here. Show that you're as committed to NOW as you are to the FUTURE. Best way to do that? Grab a WR NOW that can step in and play at least average. We don't need a BIG time guy, just a guy who can play his role (we all know, that aint happening). And if not that, then start quietly searching for coaches, don't let it get out, and when you have a good HC and OC, fire Fox and Davidson. Shows the team that you're not happy with how the past couple years have played out and you want wins and you want them NOW.

Something has to be done. Just a matter of if it's too late or not when it does happen.

Nope, I wouldn't. You can get big money elsewhere, you get a team closer to a contender elsewhere, and you probably get better overall camaradarie if you're the one picking the team.

Plus, I'm operating under the assumption that our cheap ass front office will think we're eligible for the hometown discount with all of our players whose contracts are expiring... WRONG.

To be honest, I'd rather we sign some of the guys who could be up next year rather than go after a big name WR unless we can lock said WR in for years to come.

I would rather build on what we have, secure what we have, and improve next year in FA/Draft. I know, "same old song and dance," but I think this team has an incredible young core, and if we can lock these guys up long term, it won't take much to make us competitors for the long term imo.

    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
    • this one is gold:     Bryce has a cult inside the Panthers fanbase that has truly developed some NPC hivemind. I'll never understand how he's captured the true essence of the casual fan like that.
