QB Coach Replacement

Mr. Scot

Per Chandler, looks like they may go outside, and to an unexpected source.

Rip Scherer, Cleveland’s assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach under recently-fired Romeo Crenel, was in Charlotte for an interview Saturday and was expected to land the job.

Scherer, 56, formerly worked with Carolina offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson when Davison was on the Browns’ staff.

McCoy out, Scherer likely in

Pretty clear Davidson suggested this hire.

And before anyone suggests it, no this does not mean we're trading for Derek Anderson

Scherer is said to be an oustanding quarterbacks' tutor and to have been well-liked by Anderson and Quinn.

Wow, that's really good to hear. Hopefully, he can help Delhomme out with his mechanics and footwork to make some accurate throws, and teach the young-uns a thing or two about a thing or two.

Wow, this sounds like quick acting on Davidson's part. He must have heard the news and told Fox he'll "reach-out" to an old working partner real quick. 24 hrs later, new QBs coach.

Would be nice to get a guy who could actually help Moore along. Better yet he could help Delhomme improve his game, maybe tell him to spread the ball around some more.

Or better yet, we actually runs plays for others

Jake hasn't the spread the ball around since week 1 against the Chargers
