If you were named Head Coach next season...

I would fire Davidson and get someone with more creative/better passing plays, The routes our recievers run are just plain sucky, Every other game I see from other teams, there recievers always have someone in the middle wide open and use the TE's better, do we? No,

I would keep Meeks since its doing a decent job of keeping teams from scoring when our secondary are not making dumb mistakes. I rather give up alot yards then give up touchdowns.

What changes would you make?

- Which players would you keep and which would you release?

- Would you keep any members of our current staff aboard?

- Would you change our offensive and defensive schemes?

change OC, QB, WR and OL coaches

get a veteran qb to mentor Clausen who does have some talent and try and find a decent second option at WR if Gettis or Lafell aren't showing enough development.

would keep Skipper as the RB coach, he's quite good coaching up that position.

Defenses schemes would not change, would try keeping the coaching staff there and see about getting more passing rushing ability from the DEs

I wouldn't change the offensive schemes too much, just get someone at OC that can develop the scheme and play calling philosophies better then what we have now. I would not harmstum them with an ultra conservative line of thinking.

whats funny is who ever's the next coach is going to want his own QB and if we have top 5 pick we will probably draft a QB because 31 other teams didn't want clausen so next year will be a rebuilding year just like this year with a new QB

Gone: Thomas Davis, Marshall, Jarrett, Moore, Rosario

Stay: DeAngelo, Kalil, Charles Johnson

Meeks

Not really, b/c I'm hiring Bill Cowher... and Jon Stew was made for him.

James Anderson can get the job done, I love TD too but he'll be pricier as well

WE HAVE SO MANY BIG NAME FREE AGENTS THIS YEAR...AND WITH RICHARDSON PLAYING THE OWNERS VS PLAYERS GAME AND NOT FORKING OUT ANY $$$ FOR ANYONE I'M KIND OF SCARED OF THE POSSIBILITIES...

One of the conditions of being hired will be to try and roll with Clausen for at least a season.

Yes, everytime Brees went back to pass his recievers were open.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
