I'm getting more and more into how I'd like to integrate my system to the web. From the tv? From the sound system? Windows Media Center?

Yeah, I'd really like to integrate one of my home theater setups with web access. I had considered going the entertainment PC route but that's expensive and cumbersome... this looks perfect.

it's 300 bux and it doesn't integrate well with directv...I'll pass.

i may need to get an HDMI junction box. my tv only has 1, and the rest is starting to be archaic. components and S are losing their usefulness.

That google tv looks cool but it is pricey. My xbox can do most of that. The Apple TV is basically itunes. You buy everything you watch. New shows are .99 to rent. It also has Netflix but i dont think there is much room on it to upgrade to things like Hulu which the google tv will do. Good thing is we will be able to get rid of $140 a month cable bills real soon.

With the Apple TV you dont need a set top box. I didnt see the the Google one needed it. You can pretty much stream everything shown on TV legally now. Even if paying 99 cents per show it still cheaper a year than a cable bill. Yahoo just had a big article on it where you can buy the DVDs get netflix and stream from Hulu and Amazon and pay less then 300 a year. You can get your local channels through an HD antenna.
