Halloween Candy!

I usually buy a bag or 2 of candy a week from the time they put the candy out until right before Halloween because we have so many kids in our hood that go through our haunted house.

But since I'm not doing the haunted house this year I'm not buying as much candy.

Today I got, Kit Kats, twizzlers, jolly ranchers, blow pops, and something else I cant remember.

What do you like giving out?

I LOVE halloween candy! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Getting a pillowcase full of candy was probably the coolest thing ever when I was younger. I like to give out baller candy that I know they will like. You don't wanna be "that house" that no one wants to go to because you give out shitty candy!

Since it is entirely possible that I could be charged with crimes associated with conflict of interest by giving out candy, I offer the candy option, but also stickers, small toys, or small jars of play-doh for the really little kids.

I'm often surprised by the non-candy options going fastest.

I think it is a symptom of our abundantly fed/spoiled kids not valuing a huge haul of junk like we did back in the day.

We make it too easy for them these days methinks.

And no, I do NOT give out toothbrushes.

I value my property.

we don't give out candy

little shits in our neighborhood can go fug themselves

plus, we're hardly ever home halloween night

(probably doesn't help that a lot of holiday's have been ruined for me over the years since my parents suck... no easter bunny, no santa... halloween involved going to two houses)

    • One word to describe next year's QB draft class...DEEP!  To me, this is Bryce's make or break year.  The organization probably doesn't feel that way and will likely anoint him as the starter to at least 2027 no matter what.  Some of these dude's will likely stay in college, but the bulk of them will be coming out.  Manning and Sellers are two probably staying. That's not to say that the 2027 QB class will be crappy or thin, because I honestly don't know.  It usually does skip at least a year--or more, but rarely two bumper crops of QBs in consecutive years. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2026/story/_/id/45453107/2026-nfl-draft-quarterback-class-top-prospects-klubnik-sellers-manning
    • I think Ransom will be a solid player for us.  He played beside Caleb Downs, the cornerstone of the Ohio State defense last year and some have him as a top 5 pick for the 2026 draft.  He was characterized as the smart, instinctive, versatile safety.   I just don't think S will be a liability unless we have injuries.  I am very interested in seeing what they have in the three UDFA safeties; I see one making the roster. As for CB, I think they are higher on Wade-Smith than most of us are. Again, depth is a concern.  We have to hope Jackson has another solid season and Horn does not injure his leg or toe on one of the yard lines.   I am not sure I would compare it to last season's DL because this year's DL will cover a lot of deficiencies, but I know what you mean---our weak link.
