John Fox & Jeff Davidson Should Be Fired ASAP

after watching the bears game its clear to me now more than ever these 2 need to be fired they are sucking the life out of our offense with their stale ass playcalling.

Another thing the defense gives us 4 turnovers and we can't cash even one of them in. If that don't tell you jeff davidson needs to go nothing will he just don't have a clue at running an offense and john fox just needs to go he act has gotten old.

Maybe they should, but they won't be and I doubt that would fix anything... we just don't have the talent right now.

It's also important to remember that this is not Fox's roster. I think Fox should go anyways, but I'm not blaming this debacle on his coaching. This is JR's roster and he can't be fired.

Nobody is firing Fox or Hurney. We could go 0-16... they aren't going anywhere. The organization is expecting a lockout. They have no desire to build for the future and aren't even discussing the future, until this issue with the lockout is addressed at seasons end.

In Richardson's mind, this year is a meaningless. Fox is here because he has a year left on his contract and Richardson didn't want to sign anybody else to any sort of commitments with an uncertain future looming. That being the case, the expectations for Fox are this... "get through the season". We win one game, we win zero, it DOES NOT MATTER.

If ownership cared about winning TODAY, they wouldn't have let go of so much veteran talent for inexperienced ones going into this season. I don't see how you pull your veteran QB, get rid of Peppers and Harris and tell the coach you have high expectations for his club! :ciappa:

Plus the difference is, any GOOD coach we sign will want an owner commitment to spending money. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan didn't sign wth the Redskins because Jerry Richardson owns the team!!! :D

It's not all Fox, and it's not all Davidson. Firing them right now really isn't gonna save us at this point in the season.

No, but it could inspire people. At some point, things just become stagnant. People need to see a change in scenery. I think we've well reached that point.

No, they are not the ones on the field not executing or making pre-snap penalties. Davidson should be fired if anything to maybe light a fire under somebodies ass.

    • Unless this team plans on overpaying for Rasheed Walker who in my mind is the only long-term starting LT option in free agency then bringing back Yosh is a must.  We have no depth at the tackle spots and with Ickey's and Brady's injuries plus Moton's chronic knee troubles we need to bring it at least 3 tackles in this offseason.  Bring back Yosh plus another vet OT and take 1 in the draft. Let Yosh, another vet, and our highly drafted rookie battle it out for the starting LT job in camp and let the best man win.  Ickey struggled early on his rookie year so having a vet option or 2 on the roster to turn to would be wise.  I'd also like us to bring back Corbett at center as he'll likely come back for the vet minimum, and I wouldn't be shocked if Cade Mayes got a really expensive deal on the open market. Some team that loses out on Tyler Linderbaum is going to overpay Cade Mayes.
    • I'd offer him a decent salary on a 3 year deal that's front loaded, or a 1 year deal that's higher $$ wise because he's likely more important to us than anyone else this coming year.  Doesn't keep us from drafting an OT either way IMO, and we cover our asses in FA and see where the draft/Ickey's rehab lands.
    • Yep. BUT, even if Canales does become stagnant, I'd argue he did his job...of turning this back into a decent job instead of one only a WR coach would take.  Obviously the owner and front office may play more of a role in that aspect, but we're back to showing potential coaches we're not a total clown show.
