Anyone been to Heinz Field?

Reasons not to see the Panthers play the Steelers.

1) No Cheerleaders! (They couldn't keep them from grazing at 1/2 time!)

2) Steelers fans are right behind Eagles and Ravens fans for being rude & obnoxious!

3) Field is terrible! If the weather's bad, it becomes one big mud hole!

4) The best bar is town is the Midget bar! (Really!)

5) Girls are skanky! U of Pitt girls aren't too bad, but the general population? Skank City!

6) Dont' drive your car, get a rental. Everything rusts like over night up there!

7) Atlanta is much better!

Maybe I should have done a Letterman Top 10 list!

Great stadium. Fans will heap abuse on you, but will pity you more than anything. Where you sit will determine how much abuse you'll take. The more expensive the ticket, the less abuse you will endure. Good bar scene on southside close to stadium. You'll love their jumbotron, makes ours like like a 13" black and white.

If it wasn't so close to Christmas I'd think about going too.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
