Would Fox be safe if...

every year it was a new set of extenuating circumstances that were given for the less than winning seasons...injuries..whatever. this year it would be the team he was given that would get him a pass.

i don't see hurney as being the firing kind of guy. they'd probably make as many excuses as they could to avoid canning him.

one thing to consider, would they have let so many players go if they thought fox was going to be here long term?

I'm NOT interested in what you would do, but instead in what you think the Panthers would do. We all know that Fox wasn't necessarily consulted on all of the cuts, and that he's been given a team with little experience and no veteran QB.

So here's the question. If Fox had three years left on his contract, do you think he would be fired at the end of the season? If so, how many wins would he need to eke out between now and then to save his job?

Remember, it's not what you would do, it's what you think the Panthers management would. :)

How do we know Fox wasn't consulted on the offseason moves? Richardson, Hurney and Fox's relatioship is that bad? What did I miss?

don't think the relationship is bad per se but fox loves veterans an even if we let ours go i think he would have preferred to bring in some new ones to replace some of them

I think they would keep him. Because they know they put him in a rough spot.

Not sure bout that. If so, it would look like they set him up for failure or had total blind faith in our very young team.

I think he will make a handy scapegoat whether we have a better than .500 record or not.....
