Taking plays off...who does and who doesn't?

These Players didn't take plays off and hold records for the team look it up

Biakabutuka was an amazing players, apparently you did not watch the panthers since they came in to the league. ERIC DAVIS leads the team in int's ALL TIME

Ok, you're killing me. I watched the Panthers every year since inception. And Tim was talented, but was the Dan Morgan of running backs, and had a massive fumbling problem. That's why he got cut and never found another gig with any team.

they ran draws at the de, that weird i thought draws usually go up the middle.

a draw can go in any direction, especially if a DE has been pushed completely out of the play or isn't trying hard anyway.

yes i know that when you play madden the line goes up the middle.

what happened to our lbs? where they not there or was julius supposed to push the whole offensive line out of the way, grab the rb and take the ball from him, throw him into the stands and run it back for a td, all while texting on his new blackberry?

lol look who doesn't know anything about football.

the linebackers were not on the field because the giants were running the draws out of 3 and 4 wr sets, necessitating nickel and dime coverages. do you know what that means in regards to linebackers?

Yeah.

There will be two Lbs on the field in nickel packages and one in dime packages.

What is your point?

you asked where the linebackers were....they weren't on the field

But there are Lbs in both nickel and dime packages...

I didn't even ask the question??? Just pointing out that your mocking of him for 'not knowing football' was odd considering what you said was fundamentally wrong.

Yes there are more defensive backs in there, but there are still Lbs in there and usually no TE to aid in blocking. I am really at a loss on what you are trying to prove here.

im not looking at names. all you sh*t posters blur together to me.

in the fourth quarter, there was often only one linebacker on the field, as the giants were going with 4 WR sets. when they were in 3, they had boss lined who made a b line for whoever was on top of him (usually davis), a guard went out to lock up beason, peppers was pushed out of the way.

his original point was deflecting blame from peppers about the fourth quarter collapse by asking where the linebackers were. They were either not on the field, or were quickly taken by offensive linemen/kevin boss. At that point it comes down to the defensive ends collapsing inside to take away lanes...something that didn't happen.

go back and watch the game.

You are seriously retarded. You wouldn't even give a thought to the notion that perhaps we had the wrong play called. Or you wouldn't dare to give Peppers credit when he actually put the Giants out of FG range by sacking Manning on third down. And that was on that drive that those big runs went to Peppers side. So the Giants scored ZERO points because of that. How about all those yards on the ground up the middle late in the quarter or those long runs off the right side late in the quarter and in OT that DID cost us points. Be gone douche.

Make your points, as asinine as they may be at times, with out personally attacking people and them you. Or we can move it to Smack...lets not do that though. Thats the weaksauce way out.

Fair enough...I can stick to that, and I generally don't resort to that sort of thing in this forum unless it's of a retaliatory nature. Fiz kind of smack talked Urrymonster by lumping him in with poo posters, so I naturally felt he needed a little smack back...Urry's been nothing but cordial in all the posts I've seen. I'm just trying to help the nice people here.

Thank you guys. This has been entertaining. I cant believe I read it all. Just my opinion...do I think Peppers take plays off?

Who gives a poo. I and many of you would have taken Peppers over almost any other DE in the league especially before all of this came out.

We were so happy with his performance over the past few yrs and now we all hate him for taking off plays.

Well I would still take his production over many other players. And for examples of other Panther players that take plays off... I love the guy but IIRC Steve Smith not only took plays off but took himself out of the game one time in 07 when Carr was QB. I know it was Carr but I was at the game and Smitty stopped playing. If you ask me what game I dont remember exactly but it was one of the games when the fans started booing carr after one series. Oh wait that was every game. Nevermind
