Matt Moore = MVP!

He didn't exactly have a choice in that matter the last 3 games. No way would we have still been 0-5 with Matt playing all 5 games.

I think the bench did Matt some good. He looked like he was coming down with David Carr syndrome after the first two games. He needed time to get right after he got his bell rung all day long by the Giants.

Moore played great but one game doesn't mean hes turned the corner and become a great quarterback.

I'd like to see him finish the year as the starter just to see if he can keep it up and Clausen can sit like all rookies should. That way what we have in Moore can truly be determined then when we get a new staff they can evaluate Clausen too and determine if we should go with Moore, Clausen or just draft someone high in the first.

Clock management(like calling a time out where we were running out of time), not fumbling the snaps, throwing accurately under pressure, spreading the field(pass to Brandon La Fell was awesome to get us in position), and being able to complete passes despite our running game being horrible....all that credit goes to Moore.

...you do realize all those things are COMPLETELY normal for a good QB, right? You're saying *MVP*. I am not disputing Moore did well, even great... just saying let's give him some more time before we go a bit crazy. He's going to need to really show this kind of performance week in and week out to even make the team next year. One game is *one game* and he was supposed to have games like this.

Yes which is all I have ever said isn't it Mav? You act like I made Moore be this super-QB. I didn't. Never said that. Never thought that about him.

I just though he could be good and didn't agree with so many saying he was terrible.

And PS: He was the MVP of this game. Not all season. But he was the MVP of this game.

Quarterbacks against the 49ers this season

Matt Hasselback - 18/23 170 yds 2 tds 1 int

Drew Brees - 28/38 254 yds 2 tds

Matt Cassel - 16/27 250 yds 3 tds 1 int

Matt Ryan - 26/43 273 yds 1 td 2 ints

Kevin Kolb - 21/31 253 yds 1 td

Jason Campbell - 8/21 83 yds 2ints

Matt Moore - 28/41 308 yds 2tds 1 int

Also take into account th Eagles, Falcons and Saints were also only able to beat the 49ers by 3 or less points. Seems Moore performed as well if not better than most of the other QBs to play the 49ers this season.

Oh, ffs. If you meant the game, that's fine, whatever. We can debate if it was him or Gettis, they both did great. For some reason I thought you meant overall. Didn't know we gave "game MVPs", thought those were game balls. My mistake.

Edit: Was trying to say he didn't do anything I wouldn't expect of a good player, so I wasn't going to crown him the MVP of the team or of the league... Didn't realize you just meant the game, haha

.

two sides to that coin. Moore started 8 games entering this year and looked to be a pretty dang good QB for what we do.

However, people opted to let the first 7 quarters of this season define him.

Moore is what he is. A decent QB. Fox screwed this team benching him week 2. It was an illogical move then....and as the season goes on it will continue to look like a horrific call by Fox. I could see Carolina finishing in a position where 3 games make a difference......and then we will have to look at the wasted Clausen games. Fox has mismanaged More consistantly.....not playing him sooner in 07 and 09 and then pulling in week 2 of this year. Horrific.
