New Cell phone?

Hawk

Recommended Posts

I know this should be in the nerdville section, but I wanted the opinion of normal people too...and didn't want to read the whole droid x thread!

any of you out there with a fairly new cell phone and if so, what do you have and how do you like it?

I carry a blackberry 8830 for work, so I haven't had a personal phone for years...but it's time to get me one. Was thinking Iphone 4, but was curious as to what you folks have and think.

thanks...

have the X. i like it a lot. with help from the X thread, I learned to root it. have a custom ROM installed, and the SetCPU app helps a ton with the battery life. it's really true what reviews say. if you want a phone that you can make your own then get the droid. if you are fine with using things the way they are given to you, then get the iphone.

research the carrier though. that was another factor for me. i was wronged by cingular, and refuse to give AT&T a chance. I've also heard a lot of bad things about their service. There's good things said too though.

I had the Curve and got a Droid X.......freaking love it! Currently have a scrabble game going with Klong.

girl is kickin' my butt, and making me wait for the next move. COME ON ALREADY! ;)

I will have to research to see if the X is even available up here and who the carrier would be. Cell plans and carriers in Canada are much different than down there you know! We haven't caught onto the thinking of cell phone is all you need mentality.

Can you get a cell phone up there with a built in snow blower? I would think that would be handy...

    • You can't keep around a former #1 pick as the backup to his replacement because he wasn't good enough. I think he has two career paths he can take.   The first is as that guy who signs with a new team every year to be the gap starter and/or backup depending on that team's situation.  Think guys like Jameis, Wilson, Brissett the last few years, as he'll be a game manager for them while they try to re-build the roster. The other is as a really good long term backup QB for one team.  He's smart and will make for a great addition to the QB room in film study and game prep.  He won't be a stud replacement if the starter goes down, but he'd be better than most other backups and you know he'll be ready to play when called upon.
    • This is really an offseason topic, but its better than talking in circles about Bryce
