Lito Sheppard Eagles could be had for a 4th

I've heard others talk about Sheppard, but what concerns me is that he's a smallish cirner who's been demoted more than once and has earned the name "Litoast' from Eagle fans.

Dawan Landry would be nice but he'll be put on high tender from Baltimore because he is a RFA.

I've also been reading some negatives about Dunta Robinson. Don't know how valid it is, but some folks think he's falling off.

I want us to go after Suggs or Berry. Trade Pep for a 1st and 3rd to a team in the teens for draft position. Trade down to the bottom of the 1st for an additional 2nd. Broncos seem almost prime for this trade as they switching to 3-4 and Moss isn't working out for them.

I know he has had a lot of off field issues but what about Tank Johnson. I'm pretty sure he is going to be a FA and would probably come cheap. Probably not likely given his past but he hasn't been in any more trouble since leaving Chicago even while being in Dallas. That has to say something.

Not getting my hopes up regardless, since the Panthers love to avoid the "big splash" in free agency. Like someone else said, I can see us adding depth, and that's it.

I honestly can't see Tank Johnson here.

One issue I have with Suggs is that 3-4 outside backers don't always transition well to 4-3 DEs. Yeah I know he's lined up in 3 point from time to time, but not permanently. To do it on a permanent basis and be effective he might need to be a little bulkier, and that doesn't always work out well.

He's definitely worth a look, but I'd think long and hard about the transition.

I know I have thought about it, but has anybody else actually thought of him lining up at SLB?

Along with Charles Johnson and Tyler Brayton, who don't really demand double teams but nonetheless need to be accounted for, could we use him as an edge rusher on the outside? Or make for some 4-3 packages that line up like 5-2 formations?

The Giants did something like that, putting a DE in at OLB in Kiwanuka, and he actually did pretty well until he broke his leg. Suggs could be a versatile weapon at SLB, probably better than we could put him at DE. We know he can drop in coverage, and he has great size as a LBer. He might also open up the pass rush game by having to be accounted for so much the linemen accidently let Johnson or Brayton slip by.

Just throwing it out there. He would be a good addition to the rotation but the baggage would be too much.
