Is our secondary really that good that they don't need a pass rush..

We have a physically elite secondary. Our guys have speed, size, timing, and ball skills. They have some of the best turnover numbers in the league. It doesn't matter how many of Eli's passes were tipped, they were in the right spot to make a play. That is how they are coached. It is supposed to be a scheme that might give up a lot of 3rd down conversions, but also produces a lot of turnovers.

Its just that the offense didn't score after any of them in the first 5 weeks on the season. If we had been able to grab and hold a lead based on capitalizing on turnovers, we would have surely seen better pressure on the QB from the D-line and more sack stats.

We definitely have a good secondary...and they are certainly not the reason we went 0-5. But the offense not converting on 15 turnovers? We could be 3-3 or better right now if we had just capitalized on half of those turnovers.

I think JR should retain Meeks and most of his staff including Baker...

Man I have a friend like that he can't wait to say something negative but when Godfrey gets a pick it was "oh he just got lucky" man I love it any play around twenty yards is like oh marshall's garbage. Does anyone realize we never ever consistently get beat through the air. Can anyone name the last pass play completed on us for 40+ yards (outside v. davis) or any game we had two 30+ yard completions in one game??? I could be wrong but that doesnt seem to ever happen to us.

Yeah, a handful of people probably expect the opposing team to have under 50 yards passing every game, against us. If our secondary could live up to their standards, we'd have the best secondary of all time.
