Reds/Red Sox was 1975, Tom Terrific did play for the Reds for 6 years but two years after that World Series. Old guys like me and Mr. Scot may have gotten the years wrong or Seaver may have been in Cincy on other business.

I've had the pleasure in the last couple years to play with Sparky in his annual CLU tournament at Moorpark Country Club, great man. And of the guys you mentioned there Mr. Scot, he spoke very highly of Joe Morgan and his entire family.

Yep. I got the year and the series wrong :lol:

When I met Seaver, it was his first year in Cincy, so it would have been 77, and actually not the year of the World Series but the year after. Remembered them going to the series at the time just had the order wrong and had the opponents mixed up. I thought they beat the Yankees first, then the Red Sox. I had it flip-flopped.

The joy of age :lol:

Seaver and another guy (name escapes me, but he was a pitcher) were hanging around outside while Rose was doing an autograph session inside. Joe Morgan and Sparky Anderson came by later on, and Bench too at some point. I wouldn't have recognized Seaver but my buddy's parents (the people who took us on the trip) did.

I know I still have the autographs I got, but they're in a box somewhere.

I doubt he actually is.

He claimed to be a UCLA student just to try to look like he knew what he was talking about with Matt Moore. Now he's likely claiming to be black just so he can cry racism.

From what I've seen, nothing he says is to be taken seriously.

Yes, thanks, I went to school at UCLA when he let us down, but you are the historian, you already knew that I'm sure!

I must defend this, I went to 3 schools but not UCLA

I been kicked off once for saying less than you have to me. I made sure the site knew I hadn't been suspended after one MOD throwed it in my face I had been 4 times. Since it has been done again, but this time with a name, it's safe to say who told you my IP address has been banned before. But thats ok, I can make things hard for people, thats what I do

      If it’s all the same to you guys, I’d like to use this thread for Tuesday nights game as well to keep this hate going. I have a feeling Tuesday vs the panthers is going to be violent in that arena.    @LinvilleGorgecan you please add “and Tuesday” to the game thread?  They play the Panthers again Tuesday.       Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.

      All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
