I have been a Panther fan (well since they started). I have lurked here a lot. Love the lady pic threads :).

I figured no one could claim I was a fair weather fan by jumping in now.. seeing how we are..well...not doing so good.

In a way it reminds me of the 1-15 season, which cost me nearly 500 bucks on a bet.

It was a sucker's bet and I wasn't the sucker. During that season, a Chicago Bears fan bet me dinner for us and our wives at Ruth's Chris. The bet was that Chicago would win more games than the Panthers and Seahawks combined that year. This was before the first game. I figure even if both my teams barely go 8-8 that he still has to run the table and it is friggin Chicago. We go 1-15 and the stinking Seahawks chipped in about 4 games I think, while Chicago goes 13-3. How do you lose that bet?

So I want to jump in now so that when we are back up... and we will be! No one can claim that I am a bandwagon fan.

welcome...and please stop going to games...it's the cool thing to do you know!

Yeah - I saw that thread. That made no sense to me. I love going to the games. I even got to go to one Monday night game there in Charlotte. We were playing the 'boys that night.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
