Time to get Serious

You may have noticed that I have been much less active on here lately. Well that isn't going to change. I've been given a year long contract, and a good opportunity to prove myself which will hopefully lead to a full-time gig. So I can't be spending the work hours on here that I once did. If any of you actually care, I'm sorry.

At home there is also a ton to be done to get ready for the little one that is on the way. I'm finding out the gender this Friday for the FB friends who are curious. We're painting and doing other small improvements, moving stuff out to make room, and not doing a whole lot of resting.

So the point is I will continue to not be seen very much here. I will still lurk for some news on the team, laughs and other interests, but I will not be taking the time to get involved in a lot of conversations.

I also plan to stop by the tailgate for the ATL game to make my annual Toys for Tots donation, so I hope to meet some of you regulars there. I'm not saying so long. Just I'll see ya sometime.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
