lucks arm is still in question....his velocity looks like clausens level 2 me.

You've never actually seen Luck play, have you? He has a very strong arm (perhaps not a cannon, but still well above average). He gets excellent zip and makes every throw effortlessly. The ONLY question about him is that he sometimes hangs his deep ball, but most seem to feel that is more a technical issue that can be easily corrected.

Don't let your appreciation for another QB cloud your judgement on Luck.

Meh.. Cam Newton gained popularity and Heisman attention too quickly for me to want him.

I wouldn't mind drafting him though, but it'd take the right offensive system and coaching to get it done. We'd probably have to keep Clausen as a backup too since if Cam's aggressive style were to get him injured, we'd be screwed.

I'd still take Luck..

For everyone who are Vick fans, you should be jumping on the Cam Newton sweepstakes. Cam is big, durable and just as athletic as Vick. He has the same strong arm but is 6" taller and 50 pounds heavier. If we decide to stay a strong run offense, he would be the perfect complement to Williams, Stewart and Goodson. With those tools and Edwards, LaFell, Gettis, Wright and Smith to throw to, he would be a real force. He handles pressure very well and can make plays with his arm and feet. As much as our quarterbacks are running for their lives, why not draft a guy who excels at eluding pressure and running down the field. The next Ben Roethlisburger instead of perhaps the next Manning in Andrew Luck. Unless we are going West Coast and bring in Harbaugh and Luck, we could take Newton and not feel like we were missing alot. I am sure Luck could operate in a pro offense and is really smart and athletic. Can't really find any glaring issues or problems with him either

Both guys have a bright future in the NFL. Honestly I would take either of them. I look forward to hearing more about them as we go through the offseason.

It really is a win win situation.
