Charles Johnson

Yep, I'm sold. He hasn't shown much in past seasons but he's been steadily improving this year and looks like he's capable of being a hell of a pass rusher. Hardy is also going to be monstrous--he gets pressure every time he steps on the field.

Also, any person talking crap about any of our rookies should punch them self in the face immediately. Johnson was invisible as a rookie, and look at him now.

the panthers need to resign Johnson. He is clearly the best d lineman they have by far against the run and pass. Really he is the only pass rusher we got. Can Hardy be good, yes and i believe in him but Johnson is all we have right now and he is young. Losing CJ would be a terrible step in the wrong direction

Some people were calling him a bust after his rookie season...

He is without a doubt our best performing player on the entire team. He has only had a couple of sub par games and the rest he has shone time after time. Considering he is playing opposite Brown and Brayton, both of which have seriously struggled this year, he has done well to get any pressure on the QB at all.

Kudos Johnson. As others have pointed out, he deserves to be paid.

Doesn't surprise me, we have a lot of people on this board that know jack about football.

It made me proud when Chris Rose said yesterday that the Browns were actually having to account for CJ in their gameplan because he "gets after the QB."

We need to put Hardy on the other side and I think the sack numbers will shoot up. I think Landri is a good fill-in and provides good pressure consistently up the middle, but we need one HUGE guy to plug in there beside him.

    • Why are most NFL refs senior citizens lol
    • I can't speak to the sample size on the double ACL tears, I could look into it but I am unsure about the quality of data I am able to find. Anecdotally, I don't think that is common for sure.  Well one giant red flag for Dobbins is that of the 3-5 serious injuries he has had in his NFL career, 100% of them have been the same leg. That's not good and it doesn't bode well for his longevity at all. As I have said several hundred times in this forum(in this case it will be in regards to Thomas Davis), outliers are memorable for a reason....because they are outliers. You don't base your decision making on outliers. That's.....stupid. I am also not high on Etienne but he does play special teams and Brooks does not. Currently, I couldn't blame anyone in the FO for choosing a 3rd string RB that can play special teams and has actually played more than 23 career snaps in the NFL in 2+ seasons.  I am not advocating for cutting Brooks but I don't think it's a player I would consider for anything other than a 3rd string role(and likely competing for it, at that) if I am building a roster for 2026. It's not like they are going to get to see him at 100% in 2026.
    • I'm not going to argue against black helmets, but love our silver helmets. No one has anything similar. If you took all the logos off all 32 team's helmets, you could pick out our helmet easy.
