Clausen doesn't call those pisspoor plays. He has poor execution, but in the end everyone knows you can't throw well if you don't run well. You don't run well if you don't block well. Clausen doesn't control either of the other two situations. He makes some bad passes and checks down way to often, but we have no plan to get Smith or other players open. Poor gameplanning and poor player development + poor execution = 1-12. We have all 3, but 2 of those aren't JC's fault.

Don't view what I am saying as I love Clausen and want him to start. Look at it as more of a statement saying I hate our coaching staff, our inability to adjust, and our lack of ability to call plays. I can't blame Moore, Clausen or any other player for our utter lack of gameplanning or player development.

As others have said, Clausen needs someone to help him develop. He is playing horribly right now. I blame him, but I mostly blame the coaches.

I refuse to believe that a rookie qb, with an entire city booing him, would continue to throw extremely short passes that go nowhere, if he actually had a say in the matter.
