Which RB goes next year.

Could you imagine the things Harbuagh could do if we hire him with all this talent in the backfield and Luck? Makes me giddy just thinking about it. This team really is tailor made to wean in a young Franchise QB. Just sign or Draft (Pouncey would be best) a G or 2 and tag Dwill and this offense (with Luck) looks scary.

Dwill will walk....and he should.

I would rather have Stew, Goodson, and Sutton in the backfield, and sign a top OL or two.............than have DWill, Stew, and Goodson behind the same line we have now.

The $8 million per season DWill will want would be better used in other areas. And stop with this whole "DWill will give us a cheap deal crap". The owner, players, and some of us fans know this is A BUSINESS. This is DWill's last chance at a payday....and he will look for as much as he can get.

Plain and simple.

I think fans generally forget that. I mean if you work for an employer and a competitor offered you a much higher salary you would jump ship too. Theres nothing wrong with that in my eyes. Now Peppers pissed me off but it was just how he (the FO is not guilt free either) handled the siltation.

the dude is a stewart fan so he must say that williams is bad and not worth keeping so stewart can get more attention. kind of like that whole twilight thing. he's on team stewart. he doesn't quite get that they are on the same team and actually like being teammates and are friends.

search...i've been saying for quite some time now that carolina will try to keep williams.

as for stewart getting attention, all i have to do is wait. odds are williams will miss games...again.

which brings me back to my question. it's obvious williams can't play through injuries...how much do you pay him to keep him? especially when he's about to play a backup role.

Even though our offensive line has sucked all year, they have been getting it together on the ground as of late. Yet when the offensive line sucked earlier on in the year, DeAngelo was our best running back. Check out these stats.

First six games (Terrible O-line):

Williams 4 yards per carry

Stewart 3 yards per carry

Last 4 games (Gelling O-line, yet still terrible):

Stewart 6 yards per carry! (All these numbers are rounded by the way)

All of this is with a terrible line that is now gelling. Imagine what a healthy DeAngelo would be getting right now. Maybe 7 or more yards per carry. If the Panthers decided to give DeAngelo a big contract, more power to them. He is the best back this franchise ever had, and is still young. You add in Mankins, a healthy Otah and Wharton next season, I say both of our backs go over 1500 yards. I originally said we should trade Goodson, yet after looking at these numbers, including what Goodson got in his first two starts against good teams, no way you trade any of these guys.

By the way, If Stew can get 170 yards in each of his last two games, he will get his second thousand yard season. Now against Pittsburgh, he may or may not go over a hundred yards, but against the Falcons, expect him to have a big day. (Perhaps a 200 yard game there.) So quick question, does he get 1,000 yards?
