The Bulls and Bobcats have discussed an 8 player deal that would send Stephen Jackson to the Bulls and James Johnson and Taj Gibson as the key players heading to Charlotte. The Bulls want to keep Taj, but seem willing to pull the trigger if they can't get OJ Mayo or JR Smith without giving up Taj.

The Bulls and Grizzlies had discussed a Mayo to Chicago deal, but the Grizzlies are asking for Taj Gibson, Omer Asik, James Johnson, and the Charlotte draft pick. The Bulls will not do that trade, but have considered doing a Gibson, Johnson, Bogans for Mayo deal, which Memphis wouldn't do at this point.

I would be happy to get rid of Jack's deal and get Gibson and Johnson. Dont know who the other players would be though.

At this point just get something done.... good or bad... all the rumors are crazy.... but No too ANYTHING involving our draft picks.... we need to be getting some... That's the key to rebuilding.

Thats the key ^ Cats really want that expiring contract so they want to do a swap get rid of Jack + get something in return, than get a good replacement that will also have an expiring contract.

I like the trade ideas. We need young athletic players. If we're not going to be winning games, we might as well watch some highlights.

IDK if this team will ever be successful again so until then, at least give us a team that will run and play with energy.

Problem is, what's the point of acquiring a big expiring contract if no free agents will sign in Charlotte? We have to build through the draft and via trades because no big name will want to come here until we can put a decent team around them and I don't see that happening in 2011.
