What would Luck's jersey number be?

Show me proof he said that or GTFO

Luck wont be better than Newton. He wasnt this season. Dude couldnt get a single QB award? Peyton Manning won awards and got his team to the big game. Why couldnt Luck? If Andrew wants to be great, he needs to stay in school another year and dominate college football like Cameron did this season. I think he realizes that, and will make the smart decision. The Panthers are the Panthers, us passing on Cam Newton and looking like fools is our destiny. Nobody gets QB wrong like the Panthers. NOBODY. Im confident in Jerry and the front office. This wouldnt be the first time, and wont be the last. Sub .500 football baby!!!

Who cares??? Let the guy make a decision to enter the draft, let us make the decision to select him, then talk about this crap. You people would wear his jock strap on your heads if someone said they were a bigger Luck fan than you just to prove they were wrong.

He lost one game to #1 Oregon. I don't mind Cam, but if we pass on Luck, we would be fools. I still don't see how a QB's color matters at all. But no, let's ignore all the scouts, all the nfl personel, because obviously they are racist, and select a QB based solely on skin color. yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

And why are you fan of this team? go root for Philly. they've had a black QB for a long time, you would love it there.

rofl @ people (KT) saying that he would rather have the proven winner.

What has Newton won?

A SEC Championship in a down year? Oh snap! Some wins while riding The Golden Calf of Bristol's coattails?

Oh yeah, didn't he win some games at Bin College? Oh, was it Blan? Blun? Blynn? Blinn? I don't know what the name is, where the hell it is, or how many people actually even go there. For all I know, Armanti Edwards could dominate there.

I wouldn't go as far to say that either of them are "proven winners". Because, really, neither of them have won a heck of a lot.

Lol why don't you start by listing what luck won ......i think alot of you guys hate on newton just because he is the guy KT is pulling for, how old are you guys 12??? Newton is a beast and wouldn't mind him or luck under center next year. The question i have is who has luck beat??? He plays in a weak conference and the only time stanford played a top 25 team they lost...all of lucks wins have came against weak teams.

When you look at newton you see he has dominated the sec which has the toughest and fastest defense in college football. He has won 5 games against top 25 teams and will get a chance to see what he can do against Oregon, a team that luck couldn't beat.

All this petty bickering over luck and newton has become lame....all know is that clausen wont be our qb next year and that brings me great joy.

Gimme newton or luck i don't care. Ill be happy either way!!

You act as if either QB is out there doing it alone. I think we can all agree that the SEC has a step or two on the PAC 10, so comparing teams either school has beat is moot, as obviously Auburn will have more highly touted recruits than Stanford does. You say he plays in a weaker conference, which is true, but that means he will also have less to work with, so that argument can go either way. Also, success in college does not transfer to the NFL, I really do not care who my starting QB beat in college if he's playing like garbage (not saying that either will play like garbage, mind you).

Awards in college do not define how good a player will be, either. This is merely looking at the physical and mental attributes of a player. Some people on this board may be against Cam Newton because KT is pulling for him, but I honestly doubt that. I feel more are against him because there has yet to really be a QB who ran the spread similar to Auburn that has had success in the NFL. One could argue Michael Vick but I don't believe their body types/skill set are similar enough to do so. Perhaps if The Golden Calf of Bristol had started the whole year we might have been able to catch a glimpse of what Cam Newton could possibly do as well. Another reason I feel people prefer Luck to Newton is their opposite egos. While Luck comes across very humble and studious, Newton seems to be more attracted to the fame and stardom, or the center of attention, if you will. While not much has been spoken of Luck regarding personal life, Newton has been surrounded with controversy regarding cheating scandals as well as taking bribes to come to Auburn. I'm not saying I believe Newton is guilty of either, but where there's smoke there's usually a fire. I, as well as many other people here, want a QB that knows what he's up against, studies football day in and day out, and will be able to read a D like a book. While Cam Newton may be capable of doing so, Luck has demonstrated that he already has the right mindset to be in the NFL.

Meh
