As it stands now:

1) (x)Falcons 12-3

2)(xyz) Bears 11-4

3) (xy)Eagles 10-5

4) Rams 7-8 (beat the seahawks and they're in)

5) (x)Saints 11-4 (atl loss + win over Tampa and __ and they win the divison?? i need help)

6) Packers 9-6 (win and they're in)

In the hunt:

Giants 9-6 (win + GB loss and they're in)

Bucs 9-6 (i think everyone has to lose...)

Seahawks 6-9 (beat rams and they're in)

x-clinched berth

y-clinched division

z-clinched bye

NFC playoff picture

atl_3.gif1. Atlanta Falcons (12-3) – Clinched a playoff berth.

• Would clinch the NFC South title, the No. 1 seed, a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs with a win/tie vs. the Panthers, or both a Saints loss/tie vs. the Buccaneers and a Bears loss at the Packers.

• Would clinch a first-round bye and at worst No. 2 seed with a Saints loss/tie.

• Would be the No. 5 seed with a loss and a Saints win.

chi.gif2. Chicago Bears (11-4) – Clinched the NFC North title and a first-round bye due to a head-to-head win vs. the Eagles.

• Would clinch the No. 1 seed with a win vs. the Packers and a Falcons loss vs. the Panthers and a Saints loss/tie vs. the Buccaneers.

phi.gif3. Philadelphia Eagles (10-5) – Clinched the NFC East and will be the No. 3 seed after losing to the Vikings.

• Would clinch the No. 2 seed, the AFC North title and a first-round playoff bye with a win at the Browns or a Ravens loss vs. the Bengals or if both games are ties, due to a better division record than the Ravens (5-1/4-2 to 4-2/3-3).

• Would be the No. 5 seed with a loss and Ravens win and Jets loss/tie vs. the Bills.

• Would be the No. 6 seed with a loss and Ravens win and Jets win (the Jets win the head-to-head tiebreaker).

• Would be the No. 4 seed with a loss and a Colts win.

      You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.

      Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.

      On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
