Tonight!!! Can Cam change Panthers fans and coaches/organizations minds?

or, perhaps to ask another, related question:

are you saying if we can't trade down, Cam Newton does not appear to be worth the #1 pick right now?

haha, man. that would really make the people comparing him to VY happy.

Most anaylists have said the Titans may be willing to take a chance on Newton because they have the staff in place for Newton.

And yes I am saying he is not worth the #1 pick right now.

His dropbacks are very slow and his feet look lazy. It'll be something that he should focus on before the combine/workouts.

Of what I have seen he dose not drop back much because working out of the shotgun and cause of the RB/QB draw his footwork looks a bit slow. They use that play almost too much. Im not a fan of the spread because of this exact reason but when I have seen him avoid defenders and drop back, he plants his feet and uses the right throwing motion. He also keeps the ball high and away from defenders. Him and Bradford come from very similar systems except for Gene Chizik system uses the draw much more.

Yeah if you are committing to wasting Brandon LaFell, Davd Gettis, and Armanti Edwards.

Not to mention it would easier to get Vincent Jackson an already proven player whose defensive coordinator just happens to be our New Head Coach.

Smitty wants to play the slot, he is 32 and obviously not the triple crown Smitty anymore.

We are supposedly going to pass more so the more good WR the better. LeFell is a possession WR and Gettis a #2. AE hasnt played so he hasnt been able to show anything to make me want to skip over a stud like Green.

Green is the best prospect since Calvin Johnson and a true #1 which we apparently do not have now.

Add in the fact that Sam didn't run 20+ times a game and you might be right. Many QBs take drops once they get the ball in the shotgun, Cam doesn't. Go to the Cam Newton TD thread and watch that stupid video and when it's 4th and 3 or 3rd and 4 I can't remember, he throws a 7 yard out. He gets the ball in shotgun and sort of shuffles his feet and delivers the ball. It's a good throw but if that's how he is when he is under center he will get killed.

whoever bases their decision on tonight's game is a moron anyway

PSA:

Please do not watch the national title game tonight and decide if you believe Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire could be a legit enough addition to the Panthers to draft him 1 overall.

Did you think of that little analogy all by yourself or did you pick it out of your ass?

And Damn you people for not reading the fugging threads. No where in there did I say I wanted to pick Cam Newton #1 overall.
