MJD: May be tough, but also might have shortened career...

Maurice Jones-Drew revealed Tuesday that his left knee was "bone-on-bone" by the end of the season, and his recovery from meniscus surgery is now expected to take four months.

The injury was initially described as a routine scope that would have Jones-Drew "back to normal" in short order. His clarification leads us to suspect the surgery may have, in fact, been microfracture in nature. Until sitting out the final two games, Jones-Drew played the whole season with a torn meniscus. It's fair to wonder if doing so will shorten his career in the long run. Torry Holt and Antonio Bryant never captured pre-injury form after bone-on-bone conditions related to meniscus surgeries. The news makes MJD a far less stable investment in Dynasty formats.

Keep your mouth shut. There are other players out there that actually want to have longer careers, unlike you.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
