I'm glad you're wowed with winning the shortest midget contest. But some people have higher aspirations. Blaming him for what? Not wanting to pay him 9 million a season to be borderline mid at best is not blaming him for anything. It's a simple acknowledgement that we settled and going forward we need to cut that out and actually develop talent along the whole offense. -

That’s a fair point. He definitely benefited from facing softer defenses in the latter half of the season. Still, I think it’s impressive how much progress he made. Going from a UFL type backup to a competent starter, even against easier competition, is no small feat. Does bring into context why it was historical, as his prior play was that putrid, but still a good leap nonetheless. That said, the real test will be whether he can maintain consistency and solid play over a full season. If we’re going to see any meaningful return on our trade-up investment, he’ll need to prove it wasn’t just a late-season flash. We’ll find out soon enough whether it was a fluke or the beginning of something special.
