Used to have a program called NESticle that worked pretty good. I have MAME but need to replace a lot of my ROMS.

Contra is a fun game, but I've yet to beat the first level. I can beat some NES games, but Contra kicks my ass every time (w/o the God code).

I think I used to be able to beat it in about 10 lives. Still it was nowhere near as difficult as the ps2 Contra. Talk about evil.

I never could beat Contra on NES, but I havent had much trouble on the XBLA version.
