Cowboys interested in Cam Newton??

Romo is another WCO guy though. There is no guarantee at all that he would fit here. In fact, I really believe that Clausen is more suited for a WCO, because there is a lot more short passing in that style of play.

I don't want any of those WCO guys, including McNabb and Kolb.

You sure Romo is a WCO guy?

Huh? Romo plays in and has only played in a Corryell offense under Garrett in Dallas.

I wanna see Cam come here. But I'm also a realist.

All Jerry Jones had to do to get Newton's attention is say "Hey, Newton. I've always thought seven figures is lame. Don't you agree? How's 8 sound? You like the way that sounds? Why don't you come down and talk with us?"

Doesn't mean they are really gonna go after him.

But hey... if they want to give up three picks for the #1 overall to get Cam... I'll be happy with that.

Well they may not call it a WCO, but it certainly looks like a WCO. They sure as hell aren't running the ball 35 times a game and throwing a bunch of PA bombs. They're using lots of receivers and throwing a lot of short to mid range passes, just like every WCO team.

Honestly, I would like to see the Panthers do more of that too, but they have already said that this would be a vertical passing attack.

They use the Corryell Offense.

Hype only increases the possibility of trading down and getting some nice goodies. I like.

I am glad to see Cam is at least open to really any team. Seems anyways. Unlike Collins, Peppers and I think maybe Clausen. Last thing we need is someone who doesn't WANT to be here. Shouldn't be a factor but in reality, it is.

Can we just say that Romo is better than Newton and Newton wouldn't put them over the top and Romo would be good here?

You can say it, but that doesn't make it true. I believe Newton would kick ass on that team, and I don't ever want to see that happen. As long as Romo is there, there will always be some doubt, and I like it that way.

So you honestly think Newton would come in and be better than Romo right now?

Maybe not "right now" but it definitely wouldn't take him 5 years like you seem to think. Romo is a little overrated anyway. I mean, look at the O-line, RB's and WR's he has, not to mention one of the best TE's in the business. Everything is there for him to succeed, but it just hasn't happened.

It can't all be put on him, he's put up great numbers year after year. That's like saying Rivers should be put out in SD because that team is loaded and he can't make it happen. At least Romo plays in a tough division. The only division worse than the AFC West is the NFC West.

I never said it would take 5 years for Cam but you made outrageous claim that Cam Newton would put them over the top. Cam Newton.

You say outrageous, I say it's pretty realistic.

Based on what? Because he was a glorified running back in college you think he's going to put a team with a pro bowler at the helm over the top because he's clearly better than him?

I didn't realize I was dealing with this level of stupid
