Question.. the first group, is that supposed to be sequential representations of his game by game rating?

Just looking at it from that angle, the tallest bar would be the Green Bay game I am guessing.
The next two games we were shut out. He was pretty bad but those ratings aren’t both bad. (I mean they aren’t great but he was shut out, that should be about a zero) And some of the next group were when he didn’t play until garbage time and he got some nice ratings but seem to be counted as whole games. That is a bit misleading to my mind

I hate stats sometimes man. Watching them play is so much more informative than the grades people give them.

It's every game as a starter both before and after his benching and it's simply his qb rating. The post stated he was not improving. I simply posted his qb rating trend.

There are some visionaries here and in another three years they will be proven right. We are just too impatient

Impatience gets you 10 qbs in 7 years. That's not a recipe for success

Also to be clear, these are just when he started the game so they only reflect his qb rating

again I should have said some of the worst but the stats I provided were where he ranked.  Not overall ranking of every qb.  He is statistically one of the worst qbs in the nfl

and then there is also the eyeball test

The problem with the eyeball test is some people use confirmational bias as lenses.

It did. It also got rid of a couple that could have really helped us.

And it got us Bryce Young too.

Impatience is a bitch.

Okay so none of that is the coming in in relief before he got back the starting job. Thank you.

Or they can see, and also don’t have to rely on imperfect transpositions of performance to numbers.

you tell me what the QB who played vs the Jags, Cards, Falcons, Patriots, Jets should be described as.  The word is below average.  Which is the majority of his games.   Which was my post.

What is the QB rating?  He presently ranks with the 30th highest this season on ESPN with their qualified QBs.  And this is the "good" Bryce lol.

Odd you forgot to include the Cowboys game. As far as the Falcons and Jets games, he did exactly what the coaching staff wanted him to do. Play ultraconservatively protecting the ball. He didnt need to put up 300 yards.

Yes, the Jags was a poo show. So was the first game his second season and his first game his first season. For whatever reason his first game of the season are all turds Then he had the early turnovers against the Cardinals which was ugly as well, but after that, he played good.

I disagree:

Red lines are the trending line. Red columns are the first game of each season.

Why isn’t this a labeled scatter plot. The y axis is useless. Post benching occurs across multiple seasons, players, etc

I strongly suspect this isn’t statistically significant but it’s impossible to calculate because a child did this graph. Or an idiot asked chat gpt to do it for him and has never actually done a regression analysis

Bryce young year 3, 7 games in: stats  184 yards game, 61% completion 11 tds 5ints  (not including the fumbles)

Tell me again why we need a graph to say he is getting better?

Before the Penix pick six, the panthers had run 8 plays for seven yards while up 10-0. That includes a 5 play, 13 yard drive out of halftime where Bryce threw incomplete on third down.

In that exactly what canales wanted?

That last thing is a bad trend. It has happened in three different seasons now. If it isn’t a trend, is it a tendency? Words….

What I mean is following a successful outing (and they are rare or scarce) with a stretch of bad outings.
The slow starts individually are slow starts. Looked at as continuations of the string that started game 1 2023, there is a pattern that may or may not be predictive.
The first game people said that he turned a corner, Green Bay 2023, was followed by those two shutouts to end the season.
Then continued with the two horrific outings that had AT throwing his helmet and Canales benching him. That’s 4 straight after 1 good.
The next one I would give him high credit for is the Atlanta game. One of his two best IMO.
He followed that with this year’s opening stinkers putting the team in a big hole.  It is so up, then back down.
His other best game was vs Dallas this year, I think the best he has played start to finish, he followed with an uninspiring performance against the Jets. I was half waiting on him to give that one away more than go win it, which was just a feeling, but then he got hurt. And here we are.
Just waiting for him to prove something if he can. He is going to have his shot the second half of the year. So we will see.
