Unlikely. He is a buddy coach. McDaniel is too but he also happens to be a top tier offensive mind. Canales is significantly closer to the bottom than the top. Not a great combo. -
If they couldn't turn him into even a 3rd string stalwart in San Francisco over multiple years, but could turn a broken Mac Jones into a good looking QB in one off season... then there might not be anything there. And if Canales could have rehabbed him, he was there for the taking this summer... -
