Well, The OP actually provided the stats.  While inknow how people are about PFF, he at least provided them in his post.

Where are the stats that you are speaking of?

his deep throw rate is only higher than one starter.  Goff.   Whole thread on it.

and as I said, this same arguement was debunked last year when folks made it using PFF.

Bryce factually barely throws downfield.  Attempts of an act isn’t subjective.  Nor how he measures vs his peers.  It’s a reality.  Bryce doesn’t throw downfield and never has really.  PFF just gives him a good grades on the rare act.    And most of the PFF arguments used are stats that aren’t even deep ball grades (the big throw nonsense which isn’t deep balls) and grades that rely on subjective incompletions .

And anyone that has been watching knows Canales is managing the hell out of Bryce’s throws and he isn’t a deep ball thrower.   And that’s coaching.  For a player who isn’t very good at something….finding advantageous scenarios to attempt something the QB isn’t great at.  And the last 3 weeks it worked out well.  Law of averages and all means just some windows work out well.  As Canales works up so many scenarios where the deep play just isn’t something that would be defended for a QB that isn’t very suited for it

And Dilfer won a SB, idc.

Almost impossible to miss the playoffs when you have that good of a defense

And what's your point? Great defenses can still be apart of bad teams. Happens all the time. You still need a offense that can score some points.

If you think a team can get 10+ wins and make playoffs this day in age in the nfl just off having a good defense i got some land to sell you.

No ones comes into a game with the Panthers thinking they have to stop the deep ball and bryce young🤣. in fact it is quite the opposite, they want to shut down the run and and either be in single high safety or sit in zone.

If you get in a 3rd and long situation and everybody knows it's about to be automatic 4th down there is no damn way you are a good deep ball throwing.

Thats the difference in bryce and other qbs, you have to scheme up his limited attempts to create those plays where as we have seen many times when its 3rd and long teams know we gotta throw we know it's about to be a punt because thats asking to much of Bryce to convert that situation.

There is a difference in having a cannon for an arm and just having the arm strength to put the ball where it needs to be in a timely fashion.

Bryce throws floaters anytime he has to put any depth on the ball because his arm is subpar, its undeniable.

Brady and Montana both had the arm to put the ball anywhere on the field and could rip deep balls when needed. I never seen a fuging Brady pass float like Bryce.

The only guy i could say was remotely close to throwing up poo like that was Russel Wilson but even he has a stronger arm than Bryce. You would be hard pressed to find any QB that has been allowed this many starts at the NFL level with a comparable arm to Bryce.

people dont understand what this does to an offense. it eliminates most of the inbreaking routes on a wr route tree. if you look at most of his throws, they are comebacks, throws to the boundaries, checkdowns. Low risk throws that he can zip in the 10-15 yard range. That limits your offense.

as much as people hate XL, i think he could be useful on certian routes. but thats not the type of routes Bryce is comfortable with, the slants and posts. even Jimmy Horn could be used on some of them because of how twitchy he is but those passes would come in the middle of the field where you cant float the ball but have to drive it.

Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.

That is the point that people don’t like acknowledging. Limitations, limit. That has a ripple effect obviously, through the play design, play selection, all that stuff.
It is easier for people to tell themselves I hate Bruce the person because I reject his game as subpar.
