Uptown Parking

I'm starting a new job uptown.

My company has a dedicated parking area that costs $130 a month, but I was told there is another spot most people use for $50 a month. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a better rate. I'll be close to TWC Arena, but I don't mind walking.

There are a ton of paved and gravel lots all over the place near the arena that HAVE to be a lot cheaper. They just wont be covered or secured. I pay 90 bucks for the Mint Street deck next to the stadium but its covered and secure.

When I lived in Matthews I really enjoyed taking the express bus. 5 minutes from the house I parked my car, sat in a nice cushy seat and listened to music and read and before I knew it I was dropped off in front of the office (or at Trade and Tryon so I could get a nice morning walk in).

Getting to the train from SC is a total pain, takes way too long, is much less comfortable and drops me off way too far from work to be considered.

I'll be coming from Concord so rail is out. I'm not too confident with the bus system yet but I might give it a try eventually.

If I still had my little hooptie Saturn, I wouldn't mind parking in an open gravel lot.
