Gabbert should have gone to the combine. Is he really that good he could skip it ?? I know his agent has had other QB's skip, but in this case he should have gone and competed.

Quarterbacks skip the combine throwing drills all the time - it really means little if you throw or not, so long as you have a good pro day. The most important part of the combine involves the interviews and measurements and what not.

Whos elite in next years class besides luck and barkley(assuming either comes out). take away those 2 and next years class looks alot like this one if not worse.

A lot of people really like Landry Jones. Others like Nick Foles (not really me but hey!). Who knows who will come on, too - nobody thought Luck would look like Luck did at the start of this year. Not saying any of these guys other than Luck could go in the top 5, but that's exactly the point. There very well could be first round talent that goes a bit later in the draft.

what makes nick foles a better prospect than jake locker? Not to disagree with you, the draft is so up and down these days.this guy foles looks like this years christian ponder. At the start of the season there were a ton of quarterbacks in this years class that were suppose to go in the first. Locker was this years andrew luck a lock for 1,and then he's not even in the first round. Ponder was in the first round at the start of the season then he losses and injuries and well....

Hope we get Peterson. Newton wouldn't be horrible and would probably be the difference between 2-12 and 8-8, year 1.

The point is we don't know what next year's QB prospects will look like. There's no guarantee Luck even comes out. We also have no clue where we'll be drafting next year. We have the top pick right NOW and we do know what this year's QB class looks like.

We could find ourselves in the middle of round 1 and having to give up a future 1st rounder just to move up and take a QB that's not any better than what's available right here and now.

I'd rather risk swinging and missing with the 1st overall pick this year than giving up TWO 1st rounders to move up and take the same risk next year.

If palmer was 28 then i'd take it but,for a guy thats 31 thats threating retirement already,and who's skills are already on the decline no. He couldn't get it done with t.o,chad,antonio bryant,and shippley, whats he gonna do with smith,gettis and lafell?

No more stop gaps..for how well we've drafted in the first round were still the only team to not take a chance and find a franchise quarterback. I say swing if we strikeout so be it.

Here's what really bugs me. people keep saying that new HC want "their guy" Exactly, they don't necissarily want the consensus #1. they want "their guy" that might be a cam newton type, it might be a gabbert type. it might be neither. whose to say that rivera's "guy" looks like cam newton? Can we please stop using this as a reason we're drafting a QB this year?
