I never understood the whole Equal opportunity thing. At least not after 1976 or so.

I always thought that it was in your compnanie's best interest to hire the most qualified person. Unless they negotiate too hard and you go with #2.

Regardless of race, sex, religious views or sexual orientation.

Id say its more a fear of litigation than anything to do with political correctness.

If you hire the right way (best candidate) you won't have to worry about this in the first place.
