Who's watching "The Killing" on AMC tonight?

Wait, it's one murder? One? The whole season? It's gonna take me a whole season to find out who killed this chick? A whole season to solve one murder? AMC grossly overestimates my attention span. I'm cut from the cloth where it takes one episode, maybe a two-parter to solve a murder.

Sorry AMC, I'm gonna take a pass. Call me when you sort out your Mad Men B.S.

So you'd rather have a cop show like the other 50 that are out there? Sigh, this is why one of the most popular shows on TV is Jersey Shore.

I hope your post was sarcastic.

Not sarcastic. I'd just rather not watch a cop show at all. The hour long episodes bore me to tears. The prospect of a 13-hour long episode makes me want to lay my head on the railroad tracks Inception style.

Yes, I know, I'm clearly not in the key demo for the show, then. But I'm a fan of almost everything else AMC produces, so this is less my commentary on The Killing as a cop show and more of is as an AMC-produced show.

~edit~

p.s. Accuse me of being any way indicative of the generation that watches Jersey Shore and I will castrate you with a car key.

i'm in the same boat... hate EVERYTHING cop/crime-scene/law & order related that's on TV, but gave this a shot because it's an AMC show. i'm banking on the character development that AMC is known for trumping the fact that it's a cop show. it's working out so far... the pilot was interesting

There was this show I watched, where I thought "one case the whole season? no way", and well, that show ended up being "The Wire" which I believe is the best cop show EVER (and many others do). It worked out well for 5 seasons on HBO. Give this time, I think it'll be good.
